This post reminds me of when I used to do marketing dance clubs and bars. Often time the owners of the bars had no idea about owning a bar, they were self employed contractors with a skill that made them alot of money. Most times than not, their Bar or Club venture did not. In marketing their venture they would take a shot gun approach and try and advertise it as everything to everyone! So every night of the week they had a special thing. I would say look you are a contractor and you do plumbing right. You don’t do carpentry or lay carpet. No would be the answer but I could! (They are always the entrepeneur.) I would say thats fine, but would you advertise that you are the best carpenter in the land and everyone should call you Joe the Plumber over Joe the carpenter? Great, inspiring post Sonia. I wrote a plan called ‘getting the new Turner Ink website done’. It’s got 17 points and yep I’m still at number one. But it’s g-r-ad-u-a-ll-y getting done with teeny tiny baby steps. Of course, generating this kind of marketing content takes time and talent. Many small businesses seek help in this arena by choosing internet marketing software solutions that help them optimize their efforts. But how to choose? The infographic is not strictly restricted to “tools” and has a category for content marketing agencies.
In the online world, what you think is important isn’t always important. You have to remember that the lab rat — or customer — is always right. If customers have a choice of yellow and blue and tend to pick yellow, then yellow is the way to go. Immediate feedback can help drive the direction of your online marketing campaign. Try, test, and measure to determine what works and what doesn’t.

You talk about how all these variables matter in getting this article to rank #1 for “list building” and how competitors have way more links than you, but then you also consider your DA and your PA together, you have almost the highest score out of the top 10 rankings; and when you consider you are more topical authority, then that explains why Hugpages (all purpose site) is not ranking higher. Maybe its not all as complicated as you suggest.
Calls to Action Should you tell people to click right away or save the CTA for further along in the email? Should the button/link say “Click Here” or “Find Out More”? When it comes down to getting people to take action (the most important part of marketing), you simply must test a variety of elements to improve conversions, as this is one of the worst elements to leave to guesswork!
