The first thing Jessica advises to a beginner is to install an app called “Profit Bandit”. This app scans the barcode on any item to see if it’s recognized by Amazon. If it is, the app tells you the current selling price of the product and thereby you can gauge the profit that you’ll get by selling the item. The app also shows a rating of the best selling items which can help you buy things that are in demand.

Create a Facebook ad with engaging content that speaks to your target customer. What do they want? Are they looking for more information about something? Is there a question or pain point they need help answering? Your lead magnet should be solving one of these needs. Therefore, your ad needs to clearly call out that need, and then effectively explain how and why you have the solution.  

You might be doing all the right things to generate leads -- landing pages, gated content, contests, and more. The problem might be that the design or copy itself isn't driving the engagement you need. A/B test (also known as "split test") different aspects of your list-building campaigns with different versions of the same content. This includes the call-to-action text, the color of the gated offer, the time of day you're posting to social media, and even where on your website these signup forms are placed. Sometimes a small change can drive hundreds more conversions.
3. Develop regular e-newsletters and announcements to inform and keep up to date with current and potential customers (but only those who ask for them). A properly executed newsletter campaign can help your business retain existing customers and attract new ones. Pawan, this is a great list. Some tools I know, some I’m trying out (like Drupal) and others I have yet to try. I will humbly add proofhub to this list in a Content Collaboration Tools category…another platform that is great to work collaboratively and efficiently. It allow us to receive real-time messages, assign tasks, start discussions, file sharing and more.
We suggest starting with two types of free offers. One top-of-the-funnel, educational piece of content like an ebook, and one middle-of-the-funnel offer to let someone speak with your sales team to get a demo or a quote or a free consultation or whatever works for your specific business. By having these two types of offers on your website, you can capture potential leads and convert customers that are in different stages of the buying process.
 People don’t give their email address away willingly. They don’t want to “sign up for your newsletter.” When websites or applications require their email in order to proceed, they roll their eyes. With these strategies, even if you get their email address, you’ll never keep them engaged. And unless you’re engaging those customers, then those email addresses aren’t doing anything for you. 
Get creative. Since every business is different, some of the strategies in this guide might not work for your business if you implement them exactly as described. However, most of what’s described can work for a large majority of businesses with just a few tweaks. In some cases, you might even get greater results than the people who wrote these posts.
