You worked really hard in order to write such a big and interesting article. I’m wondering how many tools are there nowadays. As for me, I prefer promoting my business using social networks and Instagram. There’s a good tool https://bigbangram.com/ that allows you to gain your targeted audience and has a lot of functions that allows to interact with followers automatically. All you have to do is to look after your page.
Defining your customer is as important as defining your products or naming your business. If you have not yet done a marketing plan within your business plan, then you need to do this exercise. (Here's how to create a complete marketing plan, from your Unique Selling Proposition through advertising and promotions planning.) And if you are starting from square one and need to write a business plan, this Business Plan Outline will lead you through the process step by step.)
This is an awesome post, thank you so much for sharing this. I am using 4 tools that I don’t see here that I hope you can find useful as well and the best part is that they are free. 1. snappa.io/app is a tool that allows you to customize graphics for your posts. 2. I use these 3 in conjunction to organize bloggs in one place for later reads/listen – I place the blogs i am interested in reading on http://feedly.com/ I can then save the ones i am not able to read to https://getpocket.com so I can listen to them later with Lisgo.org which easily integrates with pocket.
Not only can you manage your content with Adobe Experience Manager, which helps you build and manage website and mobile apps, but it also allows you to integrate content from online communities. Add to that Adobe Campaign, and you're able to personalize and deliver different campaigns across all your channels, from web and mobile to email. Then there's Adobe Target, which allows you to personalize your content so you can get it to the right audience on the right channel.
We love Aiva Labs because their AI platform makes our lives easier by helping streamline the conversion optimization process. Their campaign builder allows us to target, test and optimize specific on-site content based on user behavior. We can essentially retarget and customize the experience over different devices at little cost to our smaller business clients.
I broke this post into two sections so that I could walk you through the entire list building process. Part one will focus on the technical aspects of creating a path that helps your blog’s visitors become subscribers. And part two will focus on engaging those subscribers with effective email campaigns. All in all, by the end of this post, you’ll have everything you’ll need to build a massive email list. Let’s get started!
Jesse – thanks for your note, but Google is merely focusing (still!) on placing a solution. If you email me, I’ve just written a paper on the entire set of systemic issues that need to be managed that are outside our purview and idiosyncratic, based on change, consensus, buy-in, relationships, etc. There are 13 distinct steps (starting from an idea) that buyers go through to enlist colleagues, figure out if they can fix a problem internally, etc, that buyers go through before they can bring in a new solution. Sales enters at step 10. The Google material isn’t doing anything really different. [email protected] and, btw, my first name is ‘Sharon Drew’ 🙂
It used to be you would have only one lead magnet on your site and that was sufficient. However, today your content and nurture sequence need to be highly relevant to the exact solution the person is actively looking for. By creating a content upgrade that is specific to a highly-targeted piece of content that is getting lots of attention helps you to raise that relevancy and turn more visitors into email subscribers.”
A picture paints a thousand words, a good video shows a thousand pictures. Any good landing page nowadays should showcase your product in a demonstration video, it’s a sure way to increase your conversion rate. Use demo videos to showcase the main benefits of your product straight away, it can be a sleek animation or a lo-fi (also low cost!) unboxing video shot on your phone.
Online marketing requires a willingness to put in hard work now, even though you may not see the results for months (or even years) to come. There are no quick fixes when it comes to online marketing, so you must be prepared to continually work toward your goal without losing steam. A lack of short-term results may be disheartening, but if you’re patient, the results will be well worth the wait.
When you meet people face to face for any reason, ask for their business card. Offer yours. Set a glass bowl on the counter in your store or the reception desk in your office, and ask visitors to drop their cards in it. Offer some incentive to do so — a free product or service, gift card, etc. Use your own business cards to further drum up emails; add an offer on the back of your card that encourages people to sign up to receive your emails.

When creating a marketing strategy you may find yourself asking why digital marketing over another more traditional form of marketing? What are the benefits? Are there any downfalls? Is it worth the money? Is it hard? Is it fast? Will it even work? If you are just starting out and marketing isn’t in your wheel house, then take some time to learn why digital marketing can help you build a profitable business.
This is a fantastic list. I’ve used several of these and as of now Moz is probably my favorite go-to site for the grand majority of things that I need. When it comes to programmatic digital media I tend to gravitate towards the Centro Blog though just because it is good to have that very detailed information. This is a good starter article by them if you want to get yourself familiar with their blog info. https://www.centro.net/blog/digital-media-operations-controlled
Saber Blast – This is the simple and intuitive email marketing software I created after I got tired of using Aweber and Mailchimp. Most people don’t know about it since it’s still new but if you’re on the market for an email marketing solution, this offers a lot of valuable features that the competition doesn’t. For instance, Saber Blast helps you increase the number of email subscribers you capture, provides automated follow-up (easy to manage autoresponder) and recommendations on who is and isn’t a lead from your email list based on their engagement levels. At it’s core, it’s designed to grow your business. It has minimal features when it comes to the design of your newsletter since we believe that’s actually a distraction from taking the revenue-growing action of creating great content to quickly and painlessly send to subscribers.
Marketing Software is a collection of web systems and applications that help businesses expand their outreach with profitable and engaging campaigns. There are many types of marketing programs, but most of them are designed for campaign management and resource optimization, and offer features such as data collection, branding, event scheduling, content distribution, and lead nurturing and converting. The most advanced marketing products will also come with a handy analytical suite for you to generate accurate reports. To see how marketing systems work, check our frontrunner HubSpot Marketing and other popular apps in this category.
Altimeter. In April of 2013, Rebecca Lieb of Altimeter started a list of 15 content marketing vendors. We were flattered to have Curata included in the initial list. More recently, Altimeter has published a content marketing vendor landscape which includes over 100 content marketing tools. However, the list does not include some of the broader categories we have included here.
Lead Management – The software should enable you to attract buyers and nurture them with personalized campaigns. You can then pass them on to sales to close deals. You should be able to identify promising leads to be able to close faster. Improve your marketing efforts by tracking effective campaigns. Use automated, personalized campaigns to engage potential buyers at all stages of their lifecycle.
To get started, find the top 5 -10 content pages on your website and create a custom Content Upgrade for each post. Once that’s done you can continue on down the list until you have a Content Upgrade for every page on your site that receives a good amount of traffic each month (note: ‘good’ is in context of your website, your traffic and your business – for some businesses it’s 100 visits per month on a content page, for others it’s 1,000).
As you become more familiar with the process, you’ll notice that there are a ton of options whenever it comes to opt-in forms. There are different types, locations, and capabilities of each form. But, my recommendation is to just keep it simple. Don’t overwhelm your visitors with too many options. Having one or two opt-in forms on your blog will get the job done.
To get more Web traffic and leads, you need to continually optimize your visit-to-sale conversion rate. The more effective your company’s sales process is, the more marketing options you have. If all other things are equal (average revenue per sale, gross margin, etc.), a company that converts twice as many Web visits into leads can afford to pay twice as much per click or visit. Being able to pay more per click or visit allows you to bid higher in the PPC listings and spend more on SEO—both of which ultimately result in more traffic and leads.
